Tight End

Chalk:

Projecting the tight end ownership is a little tough on FanDuel this week. On DraftKings, Zach Ertz is grossly underpriced and could be the chalky play. On FanDuel, it is likely to be a mixture of Greg Olsen, Jimmy Graham, Delanie Walker, and Ertz taking up most of the ownership.

Pivot:

Jason Witten, $5,400 (vs. New York Giants): Unless you have an appreciation for the art of dad running, there really aren't many tight ends more boring than Jason Witten. However, there is a chance the veteran will be near the lead for targets at the position this week due to the nature of his matchup.

The New York Giants defense is built to funnel targets to the middle of the field and they match up tremendously against the Dallas Cowboys. Janoris Jenkins will likely shadow Dez Bryant, while Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie will make life in the slot tough for Cole Beasley. They ranked as our eighth-best run defense last year and allowed just 3.6 yards per carry. Ezekiel Elliott totaled 158 yards in two games against them, but it took 44 carries (3.6 yards per attempt). As a result, Dak Prescott may find that the path to success is with old man Witten, as he did last year, when he sent 14 passes his way in Week 1 against the Giants.
