Buffalo Bills

Although the Buffalo Bills signed Tyrod Taylor to a six-year contract just last year, they did include an opt-out clause following the first year and management seems open to replacing Taylor after not picking up his option.

Even new coach Sean McDermott passed on endorsing Taylor during his first press conference with the Bills.

With a potential opening at quarterback, the Bills may be appealing to Romo as they already boast the second-best rushing attack in the league, per our numbers. With LeSean McCoy and Mike Gillislee leading the way in 2016, Buffalo's rushing game trailed only the Cowboys' ground attack in terms of production on the ground.

Plus, teaming Romo with a presumably healthy Sammy Watkins could prove to be a strong combination. With Watkins in and out of the lineup throughout 2016, the Bills passing game ranked 20th (49.61), per our schedule-adjusted NEP.

The Arizona Cardinals and Chicago Bears were also considered here, but with Carson Palmer looking likely to return for another season and the Bears coming off a 3-13 year, the Bills may make for a more likely destination.

In 2016, the Bills finished 7-9, three games out of the final wild card spot. But they're a not-terrible 18th in our team rankings, and they checked in 14th in average point differential.

Finally, Jerry Jones' admiration for Romo is no secret, so it's difficult to see him trading Romo to a team that isn't a contender, likely leaving teams such as the Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers out of the picture.
