When playing NFL DFS in December, it’s always wise to look at the weather forecasts to gain an advantage. This Sunday in Buffalo, the forecast calls for 1 to 3 inches of snow and below-freezing temperatures. That’s enough to bring any defense into consideration, but when you’re facing the Cleveland Browns at home, you instantly become a top-tier option.
Cleveland has managed just 20 total points in their two games with Robert Griffin III as their starter, and Vegas isn’t optimistic about their offense turning it around in Week 15. The Browns have the lowest implied total on the main slate (15.75). That total has already dropped 2.5 points since the opener (likely due to the weather), and the Buffalo Bills are 10-point favorites. Only one other team (Atlanta -13.5) is favored to win by more points this weekend.
In their last three games, Cleveland has the second-highest pass play percentage in the league (70.05%), so they’ve been giving opposing defenses plenty of opportunity to generate big plays.
The Buffalo D/ST is the most expensive defense for Sunday’s main slate, but you may get them at a lower ownership with Houston having a great matchup and being $100 cheaper.
