Thomas Rawls Could Help Win You a Championship

Thomas Rawls was a straight beast in his 2015 season. His 0.08 Rushing NEP per rush last year ranked second among the 44 running backs with at least 100 carries. On top of that, his 45.58% Rushing Success Rate ranked fifth among that same group. He was a stud.

But 2016 has been a lost season for Rawls. After being sidelined with leg and fibula injuries that that kept him on the bench since Week 3, Rawls was expected to be eased back into his role in Week 11. His lane to reclaim his starting job cleared significantly when the Seattle Seahawks released Christine Michael. But C.J. Prosise had really come on in recent weeks, so it was fair to assume that Rawls would be at best a 1A in an ultra-productive timeshare.

As fate would have it, Prosise went down early in the game in Week 11 with a scapula injury that will sideline him until the playoffs, at best. As a result, we got an extended look at Rawls, and the numbers suggest he's still good -- He posted a 0.02 Rushing NEP per rush on 14 carries, which generated 57 yards on the ground.

Rawls also managed to reel in 3 of 4 targets for 31 yards, and he could be in line for huge volume moving forward. So as Rawls rounds back into form, he's staring at a bell-cow role in an offense that's really clicking. Rawls could be poised to help win you a fantasy football championship this year.
