Wide Receiver: Julio Jones

Julio Jones, WR, Atlanta Falcons
9 Receptions, 174 Yards, 15 Targets
Performance: 98, NEP: +14.52

In the game with last week's highest over/under, it shouldn't come to anyone's surprise that Jones finished as the top overall wide receiver by our metrics. Jones was targeted a whopping 15 times this game, hauling in 9 of them for 174 receiving yards.

It was just another day at the office for Julio, as the superstar wide receiver made big play after big play against the San Diego Chargers. His biggest play of the game came on a sublime post route where he was able to split the safeties for a 50-yard gain. That play alone added +3.36 NEP to Julio's total for the day while adding 9.09% to Atlanta's win probability. Jones now leads the league in receiving yards (830) and receptions of 20-plus yards (16). He leads all wide receivers in Reception NEP, Target NEP and Total NEP.

Unfortunately, his lack of touchdowns led him to a WR5 finish in points per reception (PPR) leagues. However, Julio still ranks as the top wide receiver in PPR formats for the year, and he is in the midst of a dominant season with Matt Ryan playing the best football of his career. We could very easily see him return on this list next week in what should be another high-scoring affair between the Falcons and Green Bay Packers.
