Philadelphia Eagles

FanDuel Price: $4,500
Projections: 22.96 points allowed, 2.42 sacks, 1.86 turnovers, 0.24 touchdowns

Under Jim Schwartz, this Philadelphia D/ST has been awesome so far, especially if you’re playing on FanDuel. They’ve scored double digit FanDuel points in three of their four games this season, including an impressive 17-point performance in Week 2 against the elite Steelers’ offense.

With a 10.14% sack rate, the Eagles’ defense is second in the NFL in that category, trailing only the Denver Broncos. This week, they match up against a Washington Redskins’ offense that passes the ball 65.7% of the time, so a huge game could be in store in the sack department.

Redskins’ star tight end Jordan Reed is reportedly going through the concussion protocol and given his extensive concussion history, it's not unreasonable to expect him to miss Sunday's game. If he’s out, it could dramatically impact the performance of quarterback Kirk Cousins, who already plays worse in divisional matchups:

Career Completionn Percentage QB Rating YPA TD%
vs NFC East 61.3% 87.4 7.3 4.1%
vs Rest of NFL 65.5% 91.1 7.6 4.7%

It's worth noting that Vegas is on your side if you roster the Eagles D/ST. Since the line opened, Philadelphia has moved from a pick 'em to 2.5-point favorites, and Washington’s implied team total has dropped 1.5 points to 21.

So as the cheapest option ($4,500) of the three defenses in this article, you’ll get a dominant D/ST with juicy sack upside at an affordable price. What more could you want?
