Running Back

Chalk:

Melvin Gordon, $7,700 at Oakland Raiders - Melvin Gordon is third among running backs in FanDuel points per game and has yet to score below 15 FanDuel points in a game. He draws a matchup against the Oakland Raiders, who have allowed a league-worst 5.1 yards per carry on the year, and is sure to be a popular option. Le'Veon Bell and Jordan Howard are also both in good spots and should be fairly chalky.

Pivots:

LeSean McCoy, $7,800 at Los Angeles Rams - LeSean McCoy has been a true workhorse for the Buffalo Bills, handling 21 touches per game. He's been heavily utilized in the red zone as well, ranking sixth among running backs on this slate in carries from within the 10-yard line. Shady also is 10th among running backs on this slate in targets, as he has seen his average targets (4.8) and catches (4.3) jump up from last season's marks of 4.2 and 2.7. The matchup against the Los Angeles Rams is average, but McCoy's usage as a three-down bell-cow provides him with one of the highest floors of any running back on the slate.

Terrance West, $6,400 vs Washington Redskins - With Justin Forsett out of the picture, Terrance West has taken over as the bell-cow for the Baltimore Ravens. Rookie Kenneth Dixon is returning this week, but he is expected to be eased in. West's opponent, the Washington Redskins, have allowed the second-highest yards per carry (4.9) and were most recently seen allowing Isaiah Crowell to gash them fro 120 yards and a score on 16 carries.

Jerick McKinnon, $6,200 vs Houston Texans - Fantasy owners worried that Matt Asiata would eat into Jerick McKinnon's production, but after watching him total 95 yards and a score on 21 touches against a New York Giants defense allowing the third-fewest yards per carry, much of our concern has been eased. This week, he finds himself in a solid spot, playing as 6.5-point home favorites against the Houston Texans. Generally thought of as a tough run defense, Houston has allowed back to back big games to LeGarrette Blount (105 yards and 2 touchdowns) and DeMarco Murray (119 yards and 2 touchdowns).
