Quarterback

Chalk:

Dak Prescott, $5,000 vs New York Giants - Dak Prescott appears set to be the chalk at quarterback this week as a minimum-priced starting option in a favorable matchup. While it likely is inadvisable to fade him in cash games, there could certainly be merit in fading Prescott in tournaments.

Pivots:

Aaron Rodgers, $9,000 at Jacksonville Jaguars - With Prescott on the slate, paying up at quarterback is an excellent way to differentiate your lineups. While the daily fantasy community is sharp enough to be on the same thought train, it seems more likely that Andrew Luck ends up being a more popular option than Aaron Rodgers, who is more expensive and has a lower implied team total. However, game script lines up well for Rodgers this week, and he might just have the most upside on the slate against Jacksonville's pass defense that ranked 27th in efficiency on a per-play basis last year according to our metrics. In fact, our projections have Rodgers as the top-scoring option at any position this week.

Eli Manning, $7,200 at Dallas Cowboys - Before the emergence of Prescott, it appeared Eli Manning might just end up being one of the best values at quarterback on the slate. Now, with Dak below him and Derek Carr just above him in price, Manning appears destined to end up in no man's land this weekend. While Manning's splits against the Dallas Cowboys last year aren't pretty, the New York Giants are projected for a decent 23-point team total against a very mediocre Dallas defense. At $7,200, Manning is pretty egregiously underpriced relative to his performance last season.
