Cam Newton, QB, Carolina Panthers

So here's the thing about Cam Newton: he's good. And with his rushing ability, he's in the cheat-code tier of fantasy football assets.

All things considered, his fourth-round ADP isn't terrible considering his upside (his 389.1 fantasy points last year are the fifth-most among all quarterbacks since 2002, according to Fantasy Data). But we're here to discuss players who won't live up to the hype, and people are getting mad online about the thought that Newton might not be as good in 2016 as he was in 2015.

After all, he's getting Kelvin Benjamin back!

Here's the thing: only 12 quarterbacks since 2002 have recorded more than 350 fantasy points in a season. Newton was roughly 40 points above that mark last year. He'll need the perfect spell (again) to flirt with 400 points, and history suggests that it's unlikely.

Sure, Newton has as good a chance as any passer to finish as the QB1, and his situation might be better than it was in 2015, but for him to live up to -- or even surpass -- the monstrous hype requires another outlier season. Don't bet on it.
