March Madness: The Top 10 Individual Performances of the Opening Weekend

These 10 players delivered the best individual performances of the NCAA Tournament's first two rounds.

The first weekend of the 2018 NCAA Tournament treated us to some incredible individual performances. Just how incredible?

Houston's Rob Gray dropped 39 points on Day 1 of the NCAA Tournament, including a game-winner, and recorded a double-double in his next game. He didn't make this list. Neither did Murray State Racer Terrell Miller Jr., who put up 27 points and collected 17 rebounds in a loss. Seton Hall's Angel Delgado dominated Kansas in a losing effort, scoring 24 points and grabbing an astounding 23 rebounds, but ultimately it wasn't enough to make the cut, either.

To give you an idea of just how exclusive a list this is, you won't see a single player from Villanova, Duke or Kansas. That means no Jalen Brunson, Marvin Bagley III, Grayson Allen, or Devonte' Graham. And no love for projected lottery picks like Mo Bamba, Trae Young or Collin Sexton either.

That's because our proprietary nERD metric and performance rating via numberFire Live both measure a player's overall contribution, based on efficiency. With efficiency and production across the board as the standard in mind, which performances were 10 best from the first two rounds?
