3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Friday 3/3/23

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays.

If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at some players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup on FanDuel tonight, using numberFire's daily fantasy basketball projections as a guide.

Kris Dunn, PG, Jazz ($4,500)

The Utah Jazz are going to be short-handed again, with Collin Sexton and Jordan Clarkson out. That should lead to another night of Kris Dunn being a top value piece.

In this situation last time out, Dunn tallied 21.7 FanDuel points in 25 minutes. In the game before that, he erupted for 41.4 FanDuel points in 23 minutes.

The Jazz have a fantasy-friendly matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The game has a 233.0-point total and 1.5-point spread, and OKC has been tagged for the seventh-most FanDuel points per game (51.6) over the last 15 games.

We project Dunn for 25.5 FanDuel points -- 5.66 per $1,000.

Josh Okogie, SG/SF, Suns ($4,600)

It looks like Josh Okogie is going to be the fifth cog in the Phoenix Suns star-studded starting lineup.

In the first game with Kevin Durant in the fold, Okogie played 33 minutes, and while his FanDuel output of 16.1 points was underwhelming, the minutes are a positive sign. He's now played between 31 and 33 minutes in three straight.

The Suns take on the Chicago Bulls in a game with a 224.5-point total and 4.5-point spread, so it should be a nice fantasy environment.

Our model has Okogie projected for 25.3 FanDuel points (5.50 per $1,000).

Jarred Vanderbilt, PF, Lakers ($5,600)

The Los Angeles Lakers are once again expected to be sans D'Angelo Russell and LeBron James, although Anthony Davis is listed as probable.

Jarred Vanderbilt's minutes and production have been all over the place of late, but he flashed massive upside with 47.9 FanDuel points three games ago. Our model isn't expecting that kind of output, but we rate him as an excellent point-per-dollar option.

LA is hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves. The total is 227.0 points, and the spread is 1.0. Both sides are in the top four in pace, and Minnesota has given up the fourth-most FanDuel points per game to power forwards this season (46.3).

We have Vanderbilt getting 30.2 minutes and posting 30.1 FanDuel points (5.38 per $1,000).
