3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Friday 3/18/22

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Jordan Clarkson, SG, Utah Jazz ($5,000)

The Utah Jazz are going to be a bit shorthanded tonight with Donovan Mitchell ruled out.

Whenever this is the case, we turn to Jordan Clarkson as an elite value option due to his increase in offensive usage. When Mitchell is off the court this season, Clarkson is holding a 30.1% offensive usage rate while producing 0.99 FanDuel points per minute. The high level of consistency and involvement in the offense always makes Clarkson a very popular DFS option when Mitchell is out.

Clarkson will be taking on the Los Angeles Clippers where the over/under is only 213.5-points, which is the lowest on the slate. We also see both teams in the bottom half of the league in offensive pace, but Clarkson still comes in projected for 25.68 minutes and 26.5 FanDuel points.

Goran Dragic, PG, Brooklyn Nets ($4,800)

The Brooklyn Nets are at home, which means they will be without Kyrie Irving.

Goran Dragic was in the starting lineup in the Nets' most recent game, and that is where we should see him tonight in a favorable matchup versus the Portland Trail Blazers.

A strong 227.5-point over/under is among the highest on the slate, but we also see the Nets as 14.5-point favorites. The spread isn't ideal, but Dragic should still be able to reach value because the Trail Blazers are allowing 48.14 FanDuel points per game to point guards, which is the 10th worst in the league.

Dragic has played 35 minutes or more in two of his last three games, going for 25 FanDuel points or more in each of those games. While his minutes may not be that high tonight due to the blowout factor, he holds a strong projection of 27.56 minutes and 24.5 FanDuel points.

Kyle Lowry, PG, Miami Heat ($5,500)

With a soft matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Kyle Lowry is a value option to consider tonight.

This season, the Thunder are allowing the eighth-most (48.65) FanDuel points per game to point guards, putting their opponents in a great spot night in and night out. The Miami Heat have Jimmy Butler listed as questionable for tonight's game, and yet, they are still massive 16.5-point home favorites. Frankly, the Heat shouldn't need Butler in order to beat the Thunder, putting Lowry in a spot to grab the extra offensive usage.

With that potential for extra usage and an incredibly easy matchup, Lowry comes in projected for 34.35 minutes and 33.3 FanDuel points. That makes him the fourth-best value option on the entire slate and the second-best among point guards tonight. Regardless if Butler plays or not, Lowry is in a great spot to return fantasy value against the Thunder.
