3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Thursday 11/4/21

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Tyrese Maxey, PG, Philadelphia 76ers ($5,400)

As long as the Philadelphia 76ers are dealing with some injuries, Tyrese Maxey will be a solid value option.

The 76ers are on the road to take on the Detroit Pistons with a rather uninteresting 208.5-point over/under, which is the lowest on the slate. Maxey is a clear value play with the minutes he is playing, but you should look to limit your exposure to this game overall due to the lower over/under and with both teams bottom 10 in offensive pace.

Maxey has played 30 minutes or more in seven of the eight games this season and has managed to post double-digit real points in seven of those same eight games. He should be able to continue that trend tonight against a weak Pistons lineup that is currently allowing 49.45 FanDuel points per game to point guards, which is the seventh-worst in the league.

All of this gives Maxey a projection of 33.19 minutes and 28.2 FanDuel points, the second-best among point guards under $5,000.

De'Andre Hunter, SF, Atlanta Hawks ($4,500)

With a slate-high 220-point over/under, the Utah Jazz at Atlanta Hawks matchup is one to target tonight.

Not only do we have a high over/under tonight, but we also see the Hawks (26th) playing up in pace against the Jazz (11th). This should create a strong fantasy environment to target, and we can turn to De'Andre Hunter as a value option. He comes in with a 21.1% offensive usage rate, which is surprisingly the second-highest in the Hawks' starting lineup behind only Trae Young.

numberFire's projections have Hunter going for 31.56 minutes and 24.9 FanDuel points tonight. That is firmly on the table considering this game also features a close 2.0-point spread on top of the high 220-point over/under. If Hunter can get the three-point shot going as he did the other night, he could be in for another ceiling game.

Frank Kaminsky, PF/C, Phoenix Suns ($4,400)

The Phoenix Suns have Deandre Ayton listed as questionable for another game, opening up some potential value.

Ayton missed the Suns' most recent game, and we saw JaVale McGee get the start at center, but he only played 19 minutes. Frank Kaminsky came off the bench and went for 28 minutes and 39.1 FanDuel points. More importantly, we saw Kaminsky close out the game in the fourth quarter. Playing big minutes at the end of a close game is always good to see and is a sign that the player is trusted on offense and defense.

If Ayton is out again, Kaminsky is a solid value option tonight, regardless of whether he is in the starting lineup or not. He should be able to post big numbers against the Houston Rockets, who are allowing the fifth-most (59.77) FanDuel points per game to centers this season. We have to wait on the Ayton injury news, but Kaminsky is in a spot for production if he is out again -- it's really that simple.
