3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on 2/16/21

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Kenrich Williams, SF, Oklahoma City Thunder ($5,200)

Kenrich Williams continues to play big minutes for the Oklahoma City Thunder, and he continues to be very affordable.

The Thunder still have a number of injury situations, and this leads to lower-salary players seeing big minutes. Williams is one such guy, and he is now in the starting lineup for the Thunder, regularly playing more than 30 minutes on a nightly basis. He is currently producing 0.80 FanDuel points per minute from a modest 15.0% usage rate. That is a solid production rate at his minutes, and it has helped him produce 25 or more FanDuel points in six of his last seven games.

Overall, Williams has a very consistent floor since he is filling up the stat sheet. But he can lack a ceiling at times since he isn't a high-volume shooter. However, tonight's matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers should be a good one to target for fantasy production as it holds a 223.5-point over/under. We project Williams for 24.9 FanDuel points in 33.72 minutes of action.

Kyle Kuzma, PF, Los Angeles Lakers ($5,800)

With Anthony Davis out for multiple weeks, we should look to Kyle Kuzma for some value tonight.

Kuzma is sitting just under $6,000, but he likely won't stay here for long. He isn't a deep salary-saver, but his upside is very clear now that Davis is out of the Lakers' starting lineup. When Davis is off the court this season, Kuzma is holding the second-highest usage rate (21.5%) on the team, and he's generating 0.94 FanDuel points per minute. We know that LeBron James dominates the usage for the Lakers, but there is still plenty of usage to go around, which should be on full display tonight.

Kuzma is projected for 29.47 minutes and 28.1 FanDuel points, making him the fourth-best value option at power forward. This matchup versus the Minnesota Timberwolves should be a solid fantasy environment to target with both teams in the top half of the league in pace and a total sitting at 221.5 points.

Frank Kaminsky, PF, Phoenix Suns ($4,700)

The Brooklyn Nets are playing almost no defense this season, and that means we want to target their games on both sides.

Not only are the Nets lacking on the defensive end this season, they are also playing at the third-fastest pace in the league, setting the table for an explosive fantasy environment every night. Speaking of defense -- or lack thereof -- from the Nets, they are allowing the second-most (47.95) FanDuel points per game to opposing power forwards. This is one of the softest matchups on the slate, and since the Suns (28th in pace) are in a big pace-up spot, the extra possessions should be there to help Frank Kaminsky reach value.

Kaminsky has been in the starting lineup for the Phoenix Suns in recent games and has turned that into at least 20 FanDuel points in six of his last eight outings. Given how soft the matchup is tonight, he shouldn't have an issue replicating that fantasy production.
