5 Daily Fantasy Basketball Value Plays for 12/9/16

Terry Rozier looks to capitalize with more playing time tonight, as he'll help to fill the backcourt void for the Celtics and potentially, your DFS lineup. What other value plays do you have to choose from?

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-priced options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at five players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup on Monday.

Terry Rozier, PG, Boston Celtics

FanDuel Price: $4,200
Projected FanDuel Points: 18.7
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.46

Terry Rozier filled in nicely for an absent Isaiah Thomas on Wednesday, putting up 16 points and 5 rebounds in 26 minutes. Thomas will be out again on Friday, so Rozier could continue to capitalize on his opportunity. When Rozier has played 20-plus minutes this season, he is averaging 8.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists.

Rozier and the Boston Celtics will try to slow down the red-hot Toronto Raptors, who rank second in the league in offensive efficiency and are playing the second game of a back-to-back set.

Brandon Knight, SG, Phoenix Suns

FanDuel Price: $4,400
Projected FanDuel Points: 21.8
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.95

Brandon Knight is not shy when it comes to shooting. He's on pace to set a career-high with a per-36 average of 17.5 field goal attempts, and over his last four games, the shooting guard is averaging 15.5 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists in 26.3 minutes.

The Phoenix Suns will run with the Los Angeles Lakers, a game featuring two of the top five teams in pace, and two of the worst six teams in defensive efficiency.

Thabo Sefolosha, SF, Atlanta Hawks

FanDuel Price: $4,200
Projected FanDuel Points: 17.4
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.14

Thabo Sefolosha stepped up on offense in his last game with Kent Bazemore out and Tim Hardaway Jr. suffering an injury setback. Though Hardaway Jr. is scheduled to start, Sefolosha will be relied on for his defense, as he's averaging 2.2 steals per game when on the floor for at least 20 minutes.

The Atlanta Hawks visit the Milwaukee Bucks, who offer the sixth-best matchup to opposing small forwards among teams playing tonight.

Ryan Anderson, PF, Houston Rockets

FanDuel Price: $4,500
Projected FanDuel Points: 24.8
Projected FanDuel Value: 5.51

Ryan Anderson has been cold in his past two games, going 0 for 8 from long range, but he is still averaging 2.5 three-pointers made this year. Anderson will likely end his drought on Friday, as he's only shot blanks from the arc in two previous games this season.

It wouldn't be out of the ordinary to see Anderson hoisting shots aplenty, as tonight's matchup between the Houston Rockets and the Oklahoma City Thunder has an over/under total of 224, the highest of the slate.

Steven Adams, C, Oklahoma City Thunder

FanDuel Price: $4,800
Projected FanDuel Points: 24.1
Projected FanDuel Value: 5.03

Steven Adams hasn't been the most consistent, but he is still on pace to set career-highs in points, rebounds, and steals. In his lone game back after suffering an ankle injury, OKC's big man poured in 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Rockets offer the fifth-best matchup to opposing centers among teams playing on tonight's slate and lead the NBA with an average of 37 three-point attempts per game. So there should plenty of opportunities for Adams to be monstrous on the boards.
