Daily Fantasy Basketball Injury Report: Monday 11/14/16

There are a ton of meaningful injuries on Monday's eight-game NBA DFS slate, and some of them could unlock multiple value plays.

We have finally reached a night where it seems like every game has at least one big injury question mark that prevents you from starting to make lineups early in the day.

With all of the uncertainty and potential for guys to sit or return tonight, injury news should be your biggest concern heading into the witching hour later this evening. There are a ton of injuries, but here are the biggest ones for Monday.

Notable Injuries

Andre Drummond, Detroit Pistons

The biggest injury on the slate tonight that was unknown before Monday morning is Andre Drummond, who has an ankle injury and is doubtful for Monday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Detroit Pistons have some nice depth at center. Aron Baynes and Boban Marjanovic could end up splitting the center minutes for this game, with whoever is starting being the better DFS option for Monday.

Paul George, Indiana Pacers

Paul George also has an ankle injury that forced him to miss the Indiana Pacers' Saturday game, and he is listed as questionable for Monday night's game against the Orlando Magic. George made it through parts of shootaround, but at best he seems like a true game-time decision. If he is out again, C.J. Miles will likely draw another start, while Monta Ellis, Myles Turner and Jeff Teague will take on more of the scoring.

Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks are a walking injury report like a few other teams heading into Monday, but the biggest injury domino for Dallas is Dirk Nowitzki. The Mavs' future Hall of Famer has been out for a week with a sore Achilles but is listed as a game-time decision on Monday. He is trending in the right direction after he went through shootaround, and the other Mavs who rested against the Warriors are set to be back.

Brook Lopez, Brooklyn Nets

Another late-breaker this afternoon was Brook Lopez, who will miss tonight's game due to rest. It's not terribly surprising as the Brooklyn Nets play tomorrow night as well, so for now it seems like Justin Hamilton may be one of the best punt plays of the night with Lopez resting.

Anthony Davis, New Orleans Pelicans

DFS players who rostered Anthony Davis on Saturday had a brief heart attack as he left the game with a back injury. He later returned and turned in 34 points on the night, but instances like that are likely going to be the main argument against Davis in DFS on certain nights. However, he told the media this morning that he is fine and will play Monday, but be weary of the injury-prone big man.

Goran Dragic, Miami Heat

Goran Dragic hurt his ankle last week, and he has already been ruled out for Monday night. He is out of his walking boot, which is a nice sign, but for tonight it seems like Josh Richardson will once again start, while Tyler Johnson will be relied on heavily off the bench.

Boston Celtics

Much like the Mavericks, the Boston Celtics are a walking injury report right now. Al Horford has been upgraded to a game-time decision after he made it through shootaround, which is encouraging for his chances to play on Monday. Jae Crowder is targeting Wednesday to play, so even though he still may be out tonight, nothing has been made official on him yet. Isaiah Thomas is also banged up right now with a sprained finger on his shooting hand, but he says he will play.

Utah Jazz

The Utah Jazz are still dealing with a myriad of injuries right now, but they got some encouragement this morning as Derrick Favors, George Hill, and Boris Diaw all went through shootaround. However, Rodney Hood is dealing with an illness and is listed as questionable. If Hood misses, it could move more scoring pressure onto Hill if he plays, as well as Gordon Hayward.
