After blowing out the Washington Wizards last night, the Philadelphia 76ers are only 2.5-point favorites on the road as the two teams run it back in Washington tonight.

I talked about Joel Embiid's appeal against the Wiz in yesterday's column, and everything I said there holds true tonight. The final sentence, "Embiid cooked the Wiz for 16 points, 15 rebounds and 3 blocks in only 22.3 minutes the first time these two teams met this year" is particularly worth taking note of.

His first game against the Wizards this year was a blowout, but he posted absurdly efficient numbers in limited minutes. Last night, the Sixers won by 17 and Embiid played only 23.7 minutes. But he went off for 20 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocks anyway.

With tonight's game projected to be much closer, he should be in for a full complement of minutes. His efficiency may go down some, but the Wiz remain a terrific matchup, ranking 27th in defensive rating and dead-last in rebound rate.
