3 NBA DraftKings Studs to Target on 1/9/19

Indiana Pacers big man Domantas Sabonis has only has only had a few opportunities this year to show what he can do when teammate Myles Turner doesn't play. He's proven his mettle every single time, and he'll get another chance to do so again tonight as Turner is doubtful against the Boston Celtics with shoulder soreness.

Turner and Sabonis have played together 35 times this season. In those games, Sabonis is putting up a very respectable 14.7 points, 9.8 boards, 2.8 assists, and 32.7 DraftKings points in 24.6 minutes, numbers which are all better than last year.

In three games without Turner, Sabonis has stepped it up in a huge way, seeing his averages jump to 16.7 points, 12.0 boards, 4.7 assists, and 40.8 DraftKings points in 33.0 minutes. More importantly, perhaps, is that he has scored at least 38.25 DraftKings points in each of those contests.

We have Sabonis projected to score 1.21 DraftKings points per minute tonight. We only have him projected for 26 minutes tonight. Once Turner is ruled out, that number will jump. If he ends up seeing 33 minutes like he's seen without Turner in the past, then that per-minute scoring projection would see him at 40.0 DraftKings points tonight.
