Wendell the Bull

No rookie may match the love and obsession I (and many others) have for one Luka Doncic, but Wendell Carter Jr. has been on quite the tear as of late, showing exactly why the Bulls made him the seventh-overall pick in last summer’s draft.

Carter has logged at least five-times value in five of his last seven games, accruing more than 154 FanDuel points over the last week and ranking as the top-producer at his power forward position over that period. In addition to his consecutive double-digit scoring totals and nearly 10 rebounds per night over his last seven games, Carter is also averaging two blocks per game over that same span, combining with attractive assist and steal numbers to supplement a versatile fantasy toolbox.

Carter’s salary has shot up as much as $2,200 over the last 11 days, so it’s imperative we keep an eye on his price tag and factor in matchup situations on a nightly basis. In most cases, the Bulls are giving up a lot of points and playing from behind, both of which can lead to more volume all around for Carter.

While we may not see him mold into a high-ceiling player this season, Carter has the looks of a guy who can provide a consistent floor given his ability to contribute across the stat sheet.

The Bulls take on Cleveland, Dallas, and Boston beginning on Sunday.
