For a while there, playing Nikola Miroticc at his current price felt almost like highway robbery. Yet, even since eclipsing the $8,000 salary mark, Mirotic continues to provide machine-like production as a cash-game play.

Over the past week, Mirotic trails only Karl-Anthony Towns and Victor Oladipo as the third-highest scoring player with 176 FanDuel points in four games. His five double-doubles over his last six games at an average salary sub-$8,000 makes for some pretty attractive value and he’s yet to show a lack of confidence.

With 43 attempts from deep over the last six games, Mirotic not only has the quick trigger, but also the green light to fire away. He’s been a consistent scorer with double-digit totals in all but one game this season, and he’s shown the ability to get hot and score 25 or more points, which he’s done four times already this year.

Mirotic’s production doesn’t depend on whether or not Anthony Davis is in the starting lineup, as he’s been able to drop big numbers with and without Brow alongside. Thanks to the Pelicans ranking fourth in the league in pace, twelfth in scoring, and toward the bottom third in defense, Mirotic generally provides a safe floor on most nights.

The Pelicans’ next three games comes against the Suns, Raptors, and Timberwolves.
