Perhaps one of the biggest surprises of the Portland Trail Blazers' 2018-19 season has been the play of Evan Turner. The nine-year vet is averaging 9.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 51.2% from the field so far.

While those numbers aren't necessarily eye-popping, they are significant boosts over his averages from last year. This is most evident in his field goal percentage, which was just 44.7% a year ago. The main reason this has increased is that Turner is not taking outside shots; he's averaging just 0.6 attempts from beyond the arc compared to 1.7 last year. His assist total is more than double the 2.2 he averaged last year, and it represents the second-highest average of his career.

The Blazers will be without Maurice Harkless when they take on the Indiana Pacers tonight, so Turner should see a boost from the 23.8 minutes he's averaged so far this season. Like his field goal percentage, Turner has been efficient with his fantasy output, averaging 23.6 DraftKings points per game and tallying no fewer than 21.5 in a game. He averaged 1.9 more DraftKings points per game when Harkless didn't play last year.
