Despite dropping two in a row, the Thunder have put together 8 wins in their last 10 games, while Carmelo Anthony appears to be playing a brand of basketball he enjoys.

But does that brand of basketball pay any fantasy dividends?

On the surface, it would seem like Anthony's volume would constitute his cost, which has hovered right around $6,500 over his last 10 games. Unfortunately, his inconsistency and underwhelming shooting only led to about 30 FanDuel points a night over that same span.

A happy Melo seems enticing, but it's not quite as easy a play as it looks. In the case for him, you're arguing price over player, where on some nights his 32 minutes and 16 shots would seem to provide a price advantage. You may also mention an underwhelming market at the position.

In the case against him, you're not willing to send a lineup south by way of a Carmelo dud, and you'd prefer to mine value with guys around the same price point or maybe a little lower.

The Thunder face the Pelicans Friday night, before taking on the Lakers (twice) and the Warriors next week.
