Dwight Powell, PF/C, Dallas Mavericks

DraftKings Salary: $3,800

With all the value guards available, most people won't see any need to pay down for Dwight Powell, even in a great spot against the Orlando Magic. Instead, options such as Willie Cauley-Stein ($6,600), Julius Randle ($6,100), Bismack Biyombo ($5,800), and Serge Ibaka ($5,600) will probably dominate the ownership at the power forward/center positions. That makes Powell an even stronger tournament play, which is the only format you should be targeting him in.

Powell's Dallas Mavericks actually have the most-appealing game script on the slate, as this game has the highest over/under and their implied team total is higher than any other team. That shouldn't come as much of a surprise against a Magic team that plays at the league's 6th-fastest pace while ranking 26th in defensive efficiency and 29th in rebounding rate. All things point towards the potential for a strong game from Powell, who needs just 19 DraftKings points to reach five-times his salary implied value.

His playing time isn't secure enough to bring him anywhere near your cash lineups on a slate full of value options. However, if you're really trying to build a contrarian stars-and-scrubs lineup, Powell is your man.
