Fred VanVleet, PG, Toronto Raptors

DraftKings Salary: $3,500

With everyone gravitating towards his teammate, Fred VanVleet may go a bit overlooked. While Wright is the more talented player and has been hotter as of late, the fantasy production hasn't been all that different between the two of them. On the year, VanVleet has averaged 0.83 DraftKings points per minute, as opposed to Wright's 0.90. He's actually posted a higher usage rate (19.5%) than Wright (18.4%), as well.

You also have to factor in that if Wright draws the start, he will spend almost all his minutes playing alongside usage monster DeMar DeRozan. With Lowry off the floor and DeRozan and Wright sharing the court this season, Wright's usage rate has dropped to 12.6%, while his DraftKings points per minute have dropped to 0.75. Similarly, getting Wright in the starting lineup could open up more looks for VanVleet in the second unit.

Again, this isn't to say that Wright is a bad play, or even that VanVleet is a superior one. But, the gap is closer than you might think, and VanVleet is nearly minimum price, making him an excellent tournament play. You could even go as far as to play both guards in the same lineup to split the chalk. Few people playing Wright will be combining him with VanVleet, which allows you to get exposure to Wright but still have a different lineup construction than most who roster him.
