Marvin Williams, SF/PF, Charlotte Hornets

DraftKings Salary: $3,900

The Charlotte Hornets received both good and bad news on Thursday, as they found out that Frank Kaminsky's injury isn't as serious as initially thought, but also discovered that Cody Zeller is out indefinitely with a torn meniscus. They will be without both players on Friday, which opens up roughly 40 minutes of playing time. There's no one player who will step into a huge role for Charlotte, as those minutes will more likely be spread among several players, with the Hornets likely to play more small-ball.

Marvin Williams is one big who should see his minutes spike, as Charlotte has limited him to just 24.4 minutes per game over his past five. There hasn't necessarily been a need for it this season, but we have seen Williams be force-fed minutes when Charlotte is shorthanded in the frontcourt before. He played 38-plus minutes in nine games last season and topped 35 minutes 14 times. He averaged 33.5 DraftKings points in those 14 games, with five games of 40-plus DraftKings points. He's averaged 30.9 DraftKings points in games he has seen at least 30 minutes this season. The upside is there to crush value if he sees the minutes he should in this game.

Williams needs just 19.5 DraftKings points at this price to reach value, which seems like a near-lock in an upgraded role against a weak Chicago Bulls defense. Chicago ranks 28th in defensive efficiency and 22nd in rebounding rate and has allowed more DraftKings points per game to opposing power forwards than any team. Williams is a strong play in all formats and a great way to get access to some of the studs on this slate.
