The training wheels are off. Joel Embiid played a career-high 36 minutes in the last Philadelphia 76ers game, and it is time to get hype.

Embiid's ridiculous per-minute efficiency carried over in extended playing time, as he hung 32 points and 16 boards on the Los Angeles Clippers, good for 57 DraftKings points. His price was raised $700 as a result, but $8,600 still requires just 43 DraftKings points of him, which is what he has averaged in just 28.3 minutes this season.

Considering he is likely looking at 30-plus minutes in a juicy matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers, $8,600 stands out as one of the best values on the board (his price is all the way up to $9,700 on FanDuel, for reference).

While Los Angeles has posted improved numbers in both rebounding rate and defensive efficiency this season, that has not been the doing of their bigs. Brook Lopez ranks 48th among 52 qualified centers in rebounding rate, and while Julius Randle is a solid rebounder, he ranks just 24th among centers. Both Lopez and Randle have ranked inside the top-15 of their position in defensive real plus-minus (DRPM), but a larger sample size from last season shows both of them outside of the top-50.

Maybe they've improved defensively, or maybe it is just a 14-game sample size and Embiid is about to crush value in this matchup.
