Jrue Holiday, PG, New Orleans Pelicans

FanDuel Price: $7,700

A quick look at Jrue Holiday's game log tells us all we need to know about his fantasy prospects as a member of the new-look New Orleans Pelicans. His FanDuel point totals during that stretch go as follows: 45.3, 19.0, 18.5, 47.0, 39.9.

Playing as the third offensive option behind Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins has made rostering Holiday a risky proposition on a game-to-game basis, but the upside is there. What is exciting about Holiday's fantasy outlook is he's finding ways to be productive when not playing a major role offensively. That's evidenced by performances of 12-plus dimes in two of his past four games and 3-plus steals in three of those games.

Holiday has a decent shot to reach that top-tier upside in a soft matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers, who rank 26th in the league in defensive efficiency. As a result, New Orleans has an implied team total of 110 points, which is a 7-point improvement over their season scoring average. Holiday has averaged 33.9 FanDuel points when playing with an implied team total above 105 points, as opposed to 26.8 in other situations this season.

He should also benefit from a one-on-one matchup with Damian Lillard, who ranks 71st among point guards in DRPM.

All things are pointing up for Holiday in this one, but just keep those dud performances in mind when considering locking him into anything other than tournament lineups. There is significant potential for reward at his price, but there is also quite a bit of risk attached.
