Evan Fournier, SG, Orlando Magic

FanDuel Price: $5,500

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

While Evan Fournier is in a great spot on paper, he has been a fairly unspectacular daily fantasy option this year, with more flashy options such as Nikola Vucevic, Terrence Ross, and recently Elfrid Payton, usually stealing the show for the Orlando Magic.

There are also several shooting guards in good spots on this slate. Bradley Beal should be chalky in an up-tempo matchup against the Wolves, while cheaper options such as Gary Harris and Buddy Hield are likely to directly deflect ownership from Fournier in the mid-price range.

Why You Should Use Him:

Fournier often defers to the teammates listed earlier, but he has shown big-time upside, with three games of 36-plus FanDuel points since his return in February. Our projections also suggest he has appealing upside for a player at his price.

According to our Floor/Ceiling tool, Fournier has the sixth-highest ceiling at shooting guard despite being just the 10th-most expensive.

The Sacramento Kings are easily the best matchup for a shooting guard on this slate, allowing the third-most FanDuel points to opposing two-guards. Fournier will spend a large portion of his court time being defended by Hield, who ranks 85th among shooting guards in DRPM.

Fournier has found success in this matchup in the past, averaging 22.8 points and 30.3 FanDuel points in four meetings with the Kings over the past two seasons. That should come as no surprise given their numbers against two-guards.

In addition to exciting tournament upside, Fournier has displayed a solid floor. Outside of a 40-point blowout loss to the Charlotte Hornets, Fournier has played at least 32 minutes and scored at least 21 FanDuel points in every game this month. Locked into a consistent role against the dreadful perimeter defense of the Kings, Fournier is a great play in all formats.
