Otto Porter, SF, Washington Wizards

FanDuel Price: $5,600

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Andrew Wiggins is likely to be one of the more popular plays at small forward against the Philadelphia 76ers. If paying down at the position, most will overlook Otto Porter with both of the Denver Nuggets' small forward options in a terrific spot against the Sacramento Kings. Both Danilo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler have played well recently and are in the same price range as Porter, who isn't likely to be a popular option with Bradley Beal back in the lineup for the Washington Wizards and a slow-paced game against the Dallas Mavericks on tap.

Why You Should Use Him:

Porter struggled to find his shot last night against the Houston Rockets, but prior to that he was on quite the tear from behind the arc. In the four previous games, he averaged 21 points on 66 percent shooting from the field and 58 percent shooting from downtown. That three-point barrage clearly wasn't sustainable over a large sample size, but it was indicative of a change Porter has made in his game this season.

A look at his season-long numbers as a spot-up shooter compared to last year's make his improvement quite apparent. He posted a pedestrian 50.9 percent effective field goal percentage (eFG%) last year as a spot-up shooter, which he has improved to 71.6 percent this season -- the best among all players with over 75 spot-up shot attempts. He ranks second in NBA in points scored as a spot-up shooter, and 37.8 percent of Porter's total points this season have come as a spot up shooter.

Porter's opponent, the Dallas Mavericks, have allowed the second-highest eFG% to opposing spot-up shooters this season. They have allowed the highest three-point percentage this season (40.2%) by a fairly wide margin while opposing small forwards have hit 2.3 threes against them per game -- the fifth-highest mark in the league.

Porter's floor is scary in what should be a slow-paced game and could turn into a blowout, which eliminates him from cash-game consideration. However, the numbers suggest there is a real chance he could get hot from behind the arc in this one. His upside certainly makes him worth a look in tournaments.
