Phillies acquire pitcher Michael Lorenzen in deal with Tigers
The Philadelphia Phillies have acquired pitched Michael Lorenzen on Tuesday.
What It Means:
After 18 starts with Detroit, Lorenzen will head back to the National League in exchange for prospect Hao-Yu Lee. Expect the 31-year old to be utilized in a starting role in the back of Philadelphia's rotation.
In 105.2 innings this season, Lorenzen has recorded a 4.21 expected Fielding Independent Pitching rating and a 19.9% K-rate.
