Alex Wood traded to Cincinnati in seven-player deal
Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Alex Wood has been traded to the Cincinnati Reds in a seven-player deal.
Heading to Cincinnati with Wood are Yasiel Puig, Matt Kemp and Kyle Farmer. Coming back to Los Angeles are Homer Bailey and prospects Jeter Downs and Josiah Gray. This trade opens up some luxury tax room for the Dodgers, who are in pursuit of multiple big-name free agents.
In 151.7 innings last season, Wood had a 9-7 record with a 3.68 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP.
