FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Tuesday 7/23/19

While Monday's slate brought us a pretty solid pitching selection, this one blows it out of the water, giving us a whole bunch of bonafide aces in fantastic matchups. Choosing your favorite high-priced arm could be a tough decision, and it's not like we can't find some potential value out there as well. On the hitting side, after getting postponed last night, the Washington Nationals draw the same juicy matchup as they did yesterday, while the Atlanta Braves and Cleveland Indians also find themselves in nice spots.

Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.

On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.

Pitchers to Target

High-Priced Pitchers

Chris Sale ($10,200 on FanDuel): We're spoiled with elite arms tonight, but if we're talking purely about ceiling, it's hard to argue against Chris Sale versus the Rays. Not only does Sale own the best strikeout rate (35.3%) and SIERA (2.99) on the board, but the Rays' active roster provides a generous 24.6% strikeout rate against left-handers, alongside an unimposing 92 wRC+. For having such pristine numbers, Sale's endured a bit of a rocky campaign, so it's hard to declare him the "safest" choice on a deep slate. But one can also point to signs of poor luck in a .314 BABIP, 69.4% strand rate, and 17.5% homer-fly-ball rate for his inconsistency, as all three marks are well off his career averages. Ultimately, not many guys can say they've exceeded 60 FanDuel points four times on the year, let alone reached 70 twice.
