MLB Daily Fantasy Helper: Monday 6/26/17

Chris Sale has been unstoppable all season, and he's at home in a respectable matchup Monday. Which other players should we target in MLB DFS?

The beauty of daily fantasy baseball is that the top targets are different each and every day. Whether it's the right-handed catcher who destroys left-handed pitching or the mid-range hurler facing a depleted lineup, you're not going to find yourself using the same assets time after time.

While this breaks up the monotony, it can make it hard to decide which players are primed to succeed on a given day. We can help bridge that gap.

In addition to our custom optimal lineups, you can check out our batting and pitching heat maps, which show the pieces in the best spot to succeed on that slate. Put on the finishing touches with our games and lineups page to see who's hitting where and what the weather looks like, and you'll have yourself a snazzy looking team to put up some big point totals. We've also got our Solo Shot Podcast, which breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day. Here's today's episode.

If you need help getting started on that trek, here are some of the top options on the board today.

Pitchers to Target

High-Priced Pitchers

Chris Sale ($11,700 on FanDuel): Chris Sale has been a beast this entire season, and it's possible he's getting even better. Over his first seven starts, Sale had a respectable hard-hit rate at 32.4%, but it was the one mark in which he was on the wrong side of the league average. Since then, he has cut that number to 27.0%, all while maintaining a 32.9% strikeout rate, 3.6% walk rate, and 15.5% swinging-strike rate. That's swoon city, y'all. He's facing the Minnesota Twins, and they're truly not a bad team, sitting around the league average in hard-hit rate and strikeout rate versus lefties while drawing more walks than your average squad. That said, they're not a top-tier unit when the opposing starter is a southpaw, and that's what you need to best Sale. For cash games, you're not going to find a better option than this guy, and he's arguably the top arm in tournaments, as well.
