Gregory Polanco, OF, Pittsburgh Pirates

FanDuel Price: $4,000

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Gregory Polanco was below five percent owned in almost all contests yesterday, despite a solid matchup. With several outfield options, including the players from the Coors game, don't expect him to be popular today.

Why You Should Use Him:

Polanco hit leadoff for the first time all season yesterday, and he may get another opportunity to bat atop the order in tonight's lefty-righty matchup against Matt Garza.

Garza's 5.74 ERA this year is right in line with the 5.63 mark he put up last season. Once a quality arm, Garza has really fallen off in the last two seasons. He has been torched in four straight starts now, posting an unsightly 8.02 ERA during that span.

Garza has posted pretty neutral splits throughout his career, but the same cannot be said for Polanco. In his three-year career with Pittsburgh, Polanco has cut his strikeout rate down 9.1 percent against righties, while also improving his slugging percentage by 132 points, his wOBA by 91 points, and his ISO by 51 points. This season, he has posted an impressive 35.8 percent hard-hit rate against righties.

The Pirates are projected for 4.7 runs against Garza tonight, and Polanco should be a big part of reaching that total, especially if he's hitting leadoff. He's worth a look in all formats tonight.
