Jonathan Villar, SS, Milwaukee Brewers

FanDuel Price: $4,100

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Jonathan Villar and the Brewers are projected for just 3.8 runs, which is the third-lowest total on the slate. With several other shortstops in better on-paper matchups and at cheaper salaries, he likely won't be a popular option.

Why You Should Use Him:

Villar has been red-hot recently, hitting .375 over his last 10 games, a span during which he has eight stolen bases and a 15.7 FanDuel point average. He'll attempt to stay hot in tonight's matchup against Francisco Liriano.

Liriano has a 5.11 ERA on the year, which is up to 6.02 over the past two months. He's been especially bad against right-handers this season, as he's seen his xFIP rise from 4.29 against lefties to 4.98 against righties.

Villar, a switch hitter, has performed much better against lefties in his career. He's improved in nearly every offensive category against southpaws.

Liriano has the ability to shut down a mediocre offense like Milwaukee, which makes Villar a tournament-only option at his price. However, Liriano also is the type of pitcher who can implode and give up a huge run total. Given the fact that Villar will be hitting leadoff and has hit much better against lefties in his career, he is worth a shot in tournaments tonight.
