With an extremely cheap acquisition cost, David Peralta is one of our top value hitters of the day.

Peralta has posted a .319 wOBA with four jacks through 159 plate appearances. Those numbers pale in comparison to his output from last year, when he mashed his way to a .380 wOBA.

Peralta and the Diamondbacks will see Philadelphia Phillies’ righty Jerad Eickhoff today at Citizens Bank Park. The Phillies home field ranks first in home run factor, per ESPN’s Park Factor. A southpaw, Peralta fares much better against right-handed pitchers. In his career, he has a .378 wOBA against right-handers, compared to a .272 wOBA versus lefties.
