Kendrys Morales, 1B, Kansas City Royals

FanDuel Price: $2,500

Picking on Minnesota Twins starter Ervin Santana is endlessly frustrating because he can either toss eight shutout innings or allow eight earned runs in an inning. The only consistent thing about him the past few years has been struggles against left-handed batters, which puts Kendrys Morales on our radar.

Over the past two seasons, Santana's strikeout rate against lefties has fallen to 14.0% with a 9.7% walk rate. He has been able to limit hard contact this year, but over a larger sample in 2015, lefties had a 32.8% hard-hit rate against him. The batted-ball stats that Morales provides can do the rest.

Although Morales has slipped a bit against righties this year, it's not nearly as far as his .142/.200/.258 slash would indicate. He has a 35.1% hard-hit rate, 39.2% fly-ball rate, and 18.5% strikeout rate. Most hitters with numbers that delicious are going to carry a wOBA higher than .205, and we can expect Morales to take that number higher in the very near future.
