Matt Duffy, 3B, San Francisco Giants

FanDuel Price: $2,500

Matt Duffy's value largely stems from his situation as the park factor in San Francisco is abysmal, but he can still provide upside given various factors working in his favor.

Duffy finds himself batting third for a quality offense, something that should raise a few eyebrows when you see his price. He got a day off on May 4th, and ever since, he basically hasn't struck out. His strikeout rate in 74 plate appearances since then is just 8.1%, meaning his personal floor is a bit higher than that of others before we even consider his spot in the order. His batted-ball stats are nothing overly impressive, but sometimes a solid situation can make up for that.

Duffy and the Giants are facing Andrew Cashner in his first start off the disabled list. Before he hit the shelf, Cashner's swinging-strike rate had tumbled to 6.1% with an 85.8% contact rate. He had been able to suppress righties in the past thanks to a higher strikeout rate, but only 12 of the first 83 righties he has faced this year have gone down on strikes. If Cashner was simply dealing with an injury, he may be able to bounce back to what he was last year, but until we see that, Duffy's situation and price combo is too good to pass up.
