Chris Young, OF, Boston Red Sox

FanDuel Price: $2,500

Whenever the Boston Red Sox are facing a lefty, we need to at least check out Chris Young. When they're playing at Fenway, and the opposing pitcher is just coming off the disabled list, that interest gets a bit higher. All of that is working in Young's favor today as the Sox get set to face Jorge De La Rosa and the Colorado Rockies.

De La Rosa is better than his perception, but there's reason to be concerned about him based on his control and how he fared in his rehab starts. Over three outings, De La Rosa only fanned 16.7% of the batters he faced, a fairly drastic drop from his 26.7% strikeout rate prior to his injury. It's possible he just wasn't going 100% in trying to ramp his way back up, but strikeouts are the main reason De La Rosa is in the big leagues. Without them, his 11.4% walk rate would get him in big trouble in a hurry, and that's why we can dabble in some Red Sox batters as he works his way back.

Young has crushed lefty pitchers the last two years, but he has generally carried the fear that he'd leave for a pinch hitter. That has been less of a concern this year as he has finished five of his last six starts, and he didn't leave until the ninth inning in the other. When you can alleviate a player's lone concern while keeping all of the positives in place, it's a recipe for Gucciness, making Young a fun option yet again.
