Albert Almora Jr., OF, Chicago Cubs

Price: $2,100

The Chicago Cubs boast a reasonable 4.50-run implied total in tonight's matchup with southpaw Robbie Ray and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

For as much as Ray's nasty strikeout stuff can make him a fantasy option, his walk rate is on pace to sit above 13% for the second straight season, with a career-worst 13.9% through five games in 2019.

He's also struggled to the tune of an ugly 4.75 SIERA, and he's on pace to allow a hard-hit rate above 40% for the third straight year. Ray is dangerous, but opposing hitters can still offer plenty of fantasy upside against him. That's especially true for right-handed bats, who have tagged him for a .331 wOBA and 4.33 xFIP on a 46.2% hard-hit rate and 41.6% fly-ball rate since the start of the 2018 season.

Albert Almora Jr. is having a slow start to 2019, but that's why he's available for so cheap. Over 339 plate appearances in his young career, we've seen him turn in a solid .332 wOBA against right-handed pitching -- not exactly near-minimum salary type production.

Our models project Almora as the top point-per-dollar value among today's hitters.
