Mike Tauchman, OF, New York Yankees

Price: $2,500

Mike Tauchman didn't end up in the New York Yankees' lineup last night, but if he's back in action on Friday, then he's worth getting in your lineup for essentially the same reasons I wrote about yesterday.

The Yanks have a strong 5.05-run implied total tonight, and they're up against a righty in Kansas City's Jake Junis, leaving Tauchman with the platoon advantage.

A cheap Yankees' bat is always going to be easy to like in this spot, and while Tauchman's major league numbers (including a .247 wOBA) don't turn any heads, 94 plate appearances is hardly enough to draw conclusions from.

He made at least 470 Triple-A plate appearances in each of the last tow seasons, turning in a .390 wOBA in 2017 and .420 wOBA in 2018, which he paired with a .224 and .248 ISO, respectively.

With potential like that from the dish, there's still plenty of room for optimism that he can thrive as part of this high-powered lineup.
