Franmil Reyes, OF, San Diego Padres

While Andrew Suarez is certainly in play against the whiff-happy San Diego Padres, these Padres do pack some punch against southpaws, and Suarez has allowed a 43.3% hard-hit rate and .369 expected weighted on-base average (xwOBA) to the right side of the plate this year.

Franmil Reyes is one such example, as he's put up a 41.1% hard-hit rate, .361 wOBA, and .243 ISO over 231 plate appearances. When we narrow that down to just his numbers against lefties -- albeit in a small sample -- those marks jump to a 46.5% hard-hit rate, .455 wOBA, and .283 ISO. Even if we have to take this with a grain of salt, the power in undeniable -- between Triple-A and the Majors, he's slugged 31 home runs this year.

Petco Park may not be the best hitting venue, but in this matchup we can certainly consider Reyes, or teammate Hunter Renfroe ($3,500), for some contrarian power in tournaments.
