FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Monday 9/17/18
We get 12 games to sort through on Monday, although for a slate of this size, there aren't as many money offensive spots as you might expect. The Tampa Bay Rays lead the way on the road in Arlington, while the Milwaukee Brewers, Texas Rangers, and Houston Astros are also worth considering. Meanwhile, Patrick Corbin checks in as the top choice on the mound.
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.
On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
Patrick Corbin ($10,000 on FanDuel): Patrick Corbin may not have the most exciting matchup against the Chicago Cubs, but he holds the slate's best marks in SIERA (2.84), strikeout rate (31.1%), and swinging-strike rate (15.4%). That SIERA is identical to Cy Young candidate Jacob deGrom's, demonstrating just what kind of season Corbin has enjoyed in 2018. While he's allowed a good chunk of hard contact all year (42.0%), he doesn't issue many free passes, with just a 5.7% walk rate for the season, including a 2.8% rate in the second half. The Cubs are displaying a modest 3.50 implied total, and Corbin looks like the way to go in cash games.
