For one of the year's least surprising stats, Mike Trout ranks first among qualified hitters with a .447 wOBA. That's a slight jump from his .437 in 2017, and his .302 ISO is also tied for first, despite being a slight drop from his .323 last year.

Righty-versus-righty matchups are no problem for Trout, as his numbers improve to a .451 wOBA and .313 ISO in that split this season.

Tonight's right-handed opponent is not exactly a worrying one either, as he'll take on Yovani Gallardo and the Texas Rangers. Gallardo's 5.60 SIERA makes Aaron Sanchez look effective, and it has him on pace for his third consecutive season posting a mark worse than 5.25. Even playing on the road in a more pitcher-friendly environment than he usually gets, Gallardo is no threat to Trout.
