Nolan Arenado, 3B, Colorado Rockies

Price: $4,600

Colorado Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado is having another MVP-caliber season out in Denver. Plus, he plays for the Rockies in a home stadium that traditionally ranks as one of the friendliest parks for hitters in the Majors (currently the third-friendliest run-scoring environment, according to park factors). While Arenado's home/road splits aren't as drastic as those of many Rockies, his wOBA at Coors Field (.462) is substantially better than his wOBA on the road (.357).

He'll be facing left-handed starter Robbie Erlin, who will be making just his sixth start of the season for the San Diego Padres. Erlin's had a nice season, mostly out of the bullpen, with a 3.33 ERA, 3.12 FIP, and a SIERA of 3.35. But while he's gone at least five innings in each of his last three starts, allowing no more than two runs in any of them, Arenado may be the equalizer in this one.

Nolan absolutely destroys left-handed pitching -- to the tune of a .542 wOBA and an ISO of .434 this season. In fact, Arenado leads all of baseball in virtually every offensive category (batting average, OPS, wOBA and wRC+ -- just to name a few) against southpaws, so expect a big night against Erlin, who enters with the worst implied total (5.92) of any pitcher on tonight's slate.
