Mike Trout, OF, Los Angeles Angels

Price: $5,300

As far as spots for Mike Trout go, this one isn't especially strong. There's not a lot going on at the top-end of pricing for hitters either though, and his hefty salary is less of an obstacle than it usually is.

He's scheduled to take on newly-arrived Tampa Bay Rays righty Tyler Glasnow tonight, and that's something of a rough matchup. Glasnow has come into his own with a 3.62 SIERA and 29.6% strikeout rate this season, but he's still showing weakness in some areas. His 14.0% walk rate is slightly worse than his 13.9% career-average, while he's also allowing the highest average exit velocity of his career.

Adding some appeal to this spot, the Rays' relievers also have a group 4.33 xFIP on the year, which is the seventh-worst mark in the bigs.

Trout is, of course, about as good as it gets against right-handed pitching. His .447 wOBA ranks second among qualifying bats while his .326 isolated slugging (ISO) comes in third, and even in a tough matchup with Glasnow he offers elite upside.
