Pitching options are thin on tonight's short six-game main slate, and that's especially true at the top, where Rich Hill is the only arm priced above Anibal Sanchez.

Sanchez' numbers might not be studly in the context of most slates, but tonight he stands out. His 3.98 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) ranks third among starters on the main slate, his 24.3% strikeout rate ranks third, and his 15.8% strikeout-minus-walk rate ranks second.

He also combines those numbers with a great matchup today, taking on the Miami Marlins. Miami ranks 24th in wRC+ against right-handed pitching on the season, while also striking out at a top-12 rate.

Combining those factors, numberFire's models project Sanchez as the top-scoring fantasy arm on Wednesday's main slate.
