3 Under-the-Radar MLB FanDuel Plays for 7/24/18

As of this writing, eight different teams have implied team totals above five runs, so it's fair to say a couple of those spots will inevitably fall through the cracks in terms of ownership. One such team could be the Cincinnati Reds, who check in with a 5.12 implied team total against left-hander Austin Gomber, who's making his first big league start.

Gomber has a reasonable 3.42 ERA and 26.6% strikeout rate over 68 1/3 innings in Triple-A (11 starts), but it's come with a modest 4.19 FIP. Furthermore, the St. Louis Cardinals rolled him out for 14 1/3 innings out of the bullpen earlier this summer, and he didn't exactly impress, with a 5.24 SIERA, 17.0% strikeout rate, and 13.6% walk rate.

Eugenio Suarez is crushing the ball at a 52.0% hard-hit rate this year, and against lefties he's putting up a fantastic .471 xwOBA and .284 ISO. Coors Field and Globe Life Park are great hitting venues, of course, but let's not forget about Great American Ball Park, where Suarez could be poised for success against an inexperienced southpaw.
