Facing St. Louis Cardinals rookie Jack Flaherty -- who owns a 29.1% strikeout rate this year, will be a tall order for them this evening.

After getting off to a blistering start with his new team, Jon Jay has hit the skids recently, recording only 1 base hit in his last 33 plate appearances. He also hasn't been incredibly sharp against righties this year, posting a .104 isolated power (ISO) and 19.9% fly-ball rate.

Getting top-of-the-lineup exposure to an explosive offense at a cheap price is usually great, but Jay doesn't bring much to the table in this matchup.
