Max Stassi, C, Hosuton Astros

Price: $2,600

Another offense with an implied total north of five tonight, the Houston Astros have a decent matchup against Texas Rangers lefty Cole Hamels, and their offense gets a boost from playing in Texas, where they've got the day's most hitter-friendly park factor.

Hamels has bounced back nicely form his awful 2017 campaign, but he still makes for a terrific matchup for right-handed bats. He has a 4.26 xFIP against righties this season and is allowing a massive 46.7% hard-hit rate. That hard-hit rate is actually up from the 37.9% he allowed in 2017, when his xFIP sat at 5.01.

Max Stassi doesn't give us much of a sample to draw from, but in 56 plate appearances against southpaws he has a 46.3% hard-hit and 12.2% soft-hit rate, which has translated to a huge .420 wOBA over the last two years. Looking at his whole career against lefties (still only 74 plate appearances), his hard-hit rate is still north of 40% while his wOBA sits at .376. That makes this matchup with Hamels a very promising one.
